Navigating Files and Directories

pwd - print working directory - current folder working from

ls - list files in directory

• prints the names of the files and directories in the current directory
  • trailing / - directory
  • @ - link
  • • • executable

ls --help or man ls :- manual on the use for ls command

ls - F Desktop - tell what is in desktop directory without navigating to it

cd - change directory

cd .. - move one directory up into parent file
