Week 1: Introduction to GIS

- Day 2: Read Chapter 2.2 to 2.4 (More about GIS, What is GIS Software, Getting a GIS Application). Install QGIS on your computer.
- Day 3: Explore the QGIS interface based on the information from Chapter 2. Try opening a sample project or dataset.
Week 2: Understanding Vector Data
- Day 1: Read Chapter 3.1 (Vector Data - Overview). Understand the difference between point, line, and polygon features.
- Day 2: Read Chapter 3.2 to 3.4 (Point, Polyline, Polygon Features in Detail). Open QGIS and explore these features using sample data.
- Day 3: Read Chapter 3.5 (Vector Data in Layers). Practice creating and editing layers in QGIS.
Week 3: Vector Attributes and Spatial Analysis
- Day 1: Read Chapter 4 (Vector Attribute Data). Learn about attributes and how they are used in GIS.
